Switzerland is a small country with 41,285 sq. kms of territory and has has a total of 8.5 million residents/ populations. The country is situated in the middle of Europe. Switzerland is officially known as the ' Swiss Confederation' and is headquartered in Bern. Switzerland is a very rich country and is also the most peaceful country in the world. 1. Swiss Alps


     The mountainous region covered with Alpine trees in Switzerland is commonly known as the Swiss Alps. There are a lot of scenic places in the Swiss Alps to enjoy.      Grindelwald is a village situated in the Bernese Alps, Switzerland. 4. Jungfraujoch


     The Jungfraujoch is one of the highest peaks in the Europe and is situated in the Bernese Alps, Switzerland. You can have a spectacular view of the snow cladded Alps Mountain Range from Jungfraujoch. Interestingly, Jungfraujoch is connected by railway and the first train rode to Jungfraujoch station back in 1912. The Jungfraujoch railway station is the highest railway station in the entire Europe. Jungfraujoch is home to the Sphinx Observatory, one of the tallest astronomical observatory in the world.

5. Rhine Falls


     Rhine Falls is a beautiful and is one of the largest waterfall in Europe situated in Switzerland. It is located in between the two Swiss Cantons of Schaffhausen and Zurich. Rhine Falls is accessible by cars, motorcycles and bicycles. There are several viewing platforms built on the sides of the fall which are reachable by narrow and steep staircases. 6. Jet d'Eau


     Jet d'Eau ( meaning Water-Jet) is located at Geneva, Switzerland on the confluence of Lake Geneva and Rhine river. The Fountain can jet/ eject it's water to a height of 140 meters, which is highest in Europe; Thus making it the largest fountain in the entire Europe. This is one most amazing things to visit and enjoy when you are in Geneva. The ejected water of the fountain is even visible from a distance of about 10 kms.

7. Bernina Express


     The Bernina Express is the train which runs between Chur (Davos) and Poshiavo, Switzerland through the beautiful Swiss Alps. The train runs daily between the two stations and thereby providing the travellers an amazing view of the Swiss Alps. The Train is currently operated by Rhaetian Railway. If you want to have a greater view of the Swiss Alps then a ride on the Bernina Express is a must.

8. Lucerne


     Lucerne is a city and as well as a district located in the central region of Switzerland. Though it is in Switzerland, the official language of Lucerne is German. Lucerne is situated by the side of lake Lucerne and Reuss river. It is situated within the two important mounts of Swiss Alps- Pilatus and Rigi. As Swiss Alps is beautiful so is Lucerne. 9. Chateau de Chillon


     Chateau de Chillon or the Chillon Castle is located at the eatern end of the lake Geneva. It is accepted that the Castle was built in 10th century AC based on the findings of different geographical experiments. It was then primarily used as a Roman Military outpost to safeguard the Alpine Passses. Then it was used as a home to different kings. Chateau de Chillon is one of the largest historical monuments in Europe. In the present time the castle is open to the public. Ever since the castle was made open to the public the castle saw a tremendous growth of tourists every year. According to a recent report the castle attracts around 4 lakh tourists every year which made it the most visited historical monument in Switzerland. As the castleis located in the lake Geneva so you can have a spectacular view of the lake through the castle windows. Apart from being an ultimate viewing point of the lake Geneva it also serves as good a relaxation point.

10. Zurich


     Jurich is the largest city in Switzerland with 1.83 million population. It is one of the leading commercial hub of the world. Many of the bigger companies of Switzerland are headquartered in this city. The city of Zurich is also a banking capital of the world. The city is the richest in Europe in terms of GDP and has the highest quality of life in the world. The services sector contributes maximum to the city's economy.
