India is the 2nd most populated country in the world and is situated in the Southern part of Asia. It's a country with a rich past history. 1. The Tajmahal


     The Tajmahal is one of the seven wonders of the world. It is situated in Agra, India. It was built in 1611 by the great Mughal Emperor, Shahjahan to immortalise his unrequited love for his deceased beloved wife Mumtaj Mahal. Because of this, The Tajmahal is considered as the symbol of love. The entire Tajmahal is made of white marbles which were imported from the south west Asian countries back at that time. It's a world class tourist attraction famous for its opulent beauty and the eternal love that is hidden at every single block of marbles that makes up the Tajmahal. 2. Qutub Minar


     The Qutub Minar is a 73 meter high, 5 storied minaret situated in the city of Delhi. It was the tallest man made structure not only in Delhi but also in the entire India. The construction of the Qutub Minar was started by the founder of the Delhi Sultanate Qutub-Ud-Din Aibak in 1192 and he completed only one storey out of the five stories. The rest of the minaret was completed by his son-in-law Shamsuddin Iltutmis. It was recently declared as the UNESCO World Heritage Site. 3. Golden temple


     The Golden Temple is a Gurudwara located at Amritsar, Punjab, India. It is also known as the Darbar Sahib or Sri Harmandir Sahib which means the Abode of God. It is the most important and the most visited Gurudwara of the Sikhs. Some parts of the temple is made up of gold foil, because of which it is been called as the Golden Temple.

4. Varanasi


     Varanasi is a city situated in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is the spiritual capital of India. There are some 2,000 temples in the city of Varanasi. It is the holiest place of the Hinduism. Peoples from all around the world come here to bathe in the river Ganges (which flows through the city of Varanasi), and to offer their prayers in different temples situated in the city. 5. Hawa Mahal


     Hawa Mahal is a Palace located in the city of Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. The meaning of Hawa Mahal is the ' Palace of Wind' or the 'The Palace of Breeze'. It is a very beautiful Palace and is constructed of red and pink sandstone. It was built by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh back in the year 1799. It is a very popular tourist attraction in Jaipur, Rajasthan and also in India.

6. Gateway of India


     The Gateway of India is an arch monument which was built in 1911 at Apollo Bunder, Mumbai to commemorate the landing of King George V and Queen Mary. It is situated near famous landmark Taj Hotel, Mumbai. It has an spectacular design and it provides an awesome view of both the Arabian Sea and the city of Mumbai. Because of this it has become one of the most visited tourist destination in Mumbai.

7. Darjeeling


     Darjeeling is a town situated in the Himalayan Foothills and is located in the Indian state of West Bengal. It is the Capital of the state of West Bengal. It has an elevation of about 2042 from the sea level and is located on the the world's third highest mountain, 'Kanchenjunga'. It is famous for the spectacular view of the Kanchenjunga Peak, tea gardens and the Darjeeling Himalayan Railways. The Darjeeling Himalayan Railways is listed as the UNESCO World Heritage Site. 8. Shimla


     Shimla is the Capital City of the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. The city of Shimla is situated on the Foothills of the Himalayan Mountain Range. The weather of Shimla is cool and awesome. It served as the summer capital of the former British elite who ruled India. It was built in 1903. It is also one of the most popular and the most beautiful tourist destinations in India.

9. Manali


     Manali is a resort town located in the in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. It is nestled in the high altitude of the Himalayan Mountain. It is situated on the bank of the Beas river in the Kullu Valley, Himachal Pradesh. Manali is situated at a distance of about 270 kms from the state capital Shimla. People go for skiing in the Solang Valley and trekking in the Parvati Valley in Manali. Also, Manali is famed as the perfect honeymoon destination for couples. 10. Ellora Caves


     Ellora Caves, located in the Aurangabad district of the Indian state of Maharastra. It is one of the largest rock-cut temple, monastery, cave complexes in the world. The Ellora Cave complexes feature numerous Hindu, Buddhist and the Jain monuments and artwork which dates back to 600 BC-100 BC.
